She is is a well-known asset management industry figure in the United Kingdom speaking on topics of transparency and diversity, and is a judge at the prestigious Investment Week's Women in Investment Awards. As an active member of the UK’s Women’s Equality Party, Mandy is passionate about broadening the conversation of diversity across all areas including business. She is one of the independent experts on the Shell Sustainability Report Review Panel and has authored and advised on reports across sustainability and reporting topics and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

She was the Chief Reporting Officer at the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI). In that capacity, she ensured that ~2000 institutional investors in more than 50 countries were able to effectively disclose their incorporation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in their investment beliefs, strategy, and decision-making. She implemented a program to increase the accountability of investors, built networks with global standard setters and reporting bodies, and provided a platform for investors reporting on the FSB Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures recommendations. This has led to large-scale disclosure of investor commitment to the incorporation of environmental, social, and governance factors into their decision-making.

Prior to working for PRI, Mandy was an associate director at the Maplecroft consultancy, where she led research projects for clients in developed and emerging markets, advising on risk management and sustainability issues. At IHS Global Insight, she led the European desk providing political analysis and economic forecasting.

Mandy is also the co-founder and the Chief Strategist of City Hive, a UK-based organization that promotes gender diversity in the financial sector, working with major UK asset managers, policymakers, and advocacy groups. She is a driving force in improving transparency in the global asset management industry and promoting equality in the sector. City Hive and its Advisory Board members participate in and support UK initiatives to promote diversity and transparency, including the Diversity Project, the 30% Investor Club and UK government projects to develop sustainable finance standards.

She holds a first-class BA Honours degree in Politics and East European Studies from University College London (UCL).
