Granito Group Finalist in PRI Awards

Granito Group’s project ‘Women in Finance’ is one of the finalists of this year’s PRI Awards. The awards are designed to recognise innovation and talent in ESG across the investment sector.

The United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) announced today that Granito Group’s project ‘Women in Finance’ is one of the five finalists of this year’s PRI Awards, under the ‘Emerging Markets Initiative of the Year’category.

The winner will be announced at PRI in Person on 10 September in Paris.

"The awards are designed to recognise innovation and talent in ESG across the investment sector. They highlight exemplary examples of leadership and accountability in order to raise standards of responsible investment,” said the PRI.

There were more than 140 submissions across all categories. Selection process was led by a panel of expert judges, who are independent of the PRI.

The project ‘Women in Finance’ was commissioned by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, through the UK Embassy in Brazil, and funded by the British Prosperity Fund (Brazil chapter). The project proposed a new national strategy to enlarge female participation in financial services.

The Granito Group team was made up by Mandy Kirby, Cecile Biccari and Rodrigo Tavares.

"This work aimed to highlight region-specific challenges and opportunities in pursuing gender balance in the financial sector. It's essential to engage local industry players so that they can take the lead in developing measures that will help compete in an international market place," said Mandy Kirby, team leader.
